Lip Looks

Lip Look: Berry Nice

Here’s a lip look I did today, it’s really quick and easy.  What I like about this is that it’s red, but it’s got a berry tone that makes it easier to wear for people (like moi) who aren’t quite at the full red lips phase yet.

Here’s everything I used.  left to right: Revlon Tinted Lipbalm in Berry (swatch and review) and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Cherries in the Glow.

Bare lips, just a bit of Therapind balm on.  They looked pretty washed out today, usually they’re more of a raspberry color.

1. Apply a light coat of Berry.  I think this looks nice alone, although you need to apply a bit more to achieve a red.  Right now it’s a berry-ish stain, I love the finish of these balms; they’re just shiny enough without going into gloss territory.

2. Apply Cherries in the Glow gloss over it.  I know it looks scarily red in the tube, but it’s actually quite sheer.  And that’s it!  2 quick steps and you get the most low maintenance berryish-red lip ever!

Hope you’re having a wonderful end of the weekend!

P.S. what do you think of the picture/text layout here?  I was thinking of doing it for any step by step tutorials.  Love it?  Hate it?  Let me know 😀

  1. I like it 🙂 The only thing that concerns me is that, if you play around with your layout in the future, I’m not sure if it’ll still look good. It probably will, but I’m paranoid as heck — I never post things off-center nowadays because I toy with my widths so often, and you can sometimes end up with some funny-looking posts after dramatically shrinking or widening your margins!

Just a little something to think about. I do really like it, though!

    P.S. Your lips are purrrdy.

    • lolll that’s especially true for me (remember that month when I changed layouts about 10 times?) I’m not going to change this current layout though. Really. Ok maybe I will in the future but as long as I keep this picture layout restricted to tutorials, it should be easy enough to go back and change it. Thanks for the advice though! Aw thanks. Coming from the girl whose lip looks make me go *O.O danngg* that means a lot 😀
