Alright, I know I’m probably too young to be using anti-ageing skincare, but recently my skin has switched over from oily/combo to dry with an oily t-zone. I find that anti-ageing products tend to ‘nourish’ the skin more, and the dry patches which have set up camp on my cheeks sure could use some nourishing right now. So…I thought it wouldn’t hurt to take a look at this new line:
The Dermelect Alpine Rose Stem Cell Skincare *whew, why are all skincare products nowadays such a mouthful?* just launched on May 19th at Henri Bendel in New York and online. Here’s a little background on the key ingredient:
Stem cells in plants function similar to that of the human epidermal stem cell – to maintain and repair tissue. With age and external aggressors, adult human skin stem cells decrease their number and their ability to produce tissue becomes limited. Because our skin stem cells control the formation, maintenance, renewal and repair of the entire skin, Dermelect’s new treatments combine the functionality of the rose stem cells to enhance the epidermal stem cells. The rose stem cells increase the skin’s resiliency and help to boost epidermal regeneration.
The collection includes three treatments: the Resurface Stem Cell Reconstructing Serum, Resilient Stem Cell Regenerating Treatment (sounds like a cream moisturizer based off of the description), and Resurgent Stem Cell Firming Activator (a ‘finishing touch’ product).
See anything you like? And what age range do you think anti-ageing skincare is appropriate for?
