Sparkle & Shine With These Born Pretty Store Rhinestones

Rhinestones are one of the easiest ways to make your manicure a little more interesting.  So when I saw Born Pretty Store’s plastic-encased offering, I knew I had to try it out.

The wheel comes with 12 different colors, all of which are sparkly and gorgeous.  There isn’t a single shade that I dislike in here, and there are a couple of really unique ones that I absolutely love (check out that lime green and cobalt blue).  It has a clear plastic lid that slides open to reveal one section at a time.  The packaging is extremely practical, and if you should happen to accidentally knock the wheel over, only one section of shiny things will spill out.

Since I’m sure you all want to see these in action, here’s a ‘fishbowl manicure’ I did the other day.  You should all know by now that I don’t believe in the whole ‘less-is-more’ business when it comes to my nails.

(This is top-secret stuff, so feel special)

And the finished result!

You can also use the rhinestones for eye makeup, like I did in my July 4th EOTD.  Just attach them to your skin with some lash glue:

For those of you who have never worked with rhinestones before, I highly recommend using this brilliant method, courtesy of the genius Juli.  It makes the application process a breeze; it literally took me under a minute to apply 10 rhinestones to my nails.  I happen to have a grease pencil lying around that I got from Taiwan, but if you can’t find them where you live, I suppose you could try a crayon or chubby colored pencil (no guarantees that it will work as well, though).

The best part is that the wheel only costs $3.33, which is a steal for the amount you get.  Plus, Born Pretty Store offers worldwide free shipping, and you can use my promo code (located in the sidebar, scroll up) for 10% off your order.

Comprehensive shade selection (pretty colors!), bargain price, smart and compact packaging.

Nothing I can think of here.

If you’re a rhinestone lover, or if you want to try some seriously easy nail art, I would highly recommend this product.

  1. DUDE! I love this manicure it’s soooo pretty! The concept is adorable but I just really love how it came out on your nails 😀 & ooooh. I think I need a grease pencil. Usually I just use a toothpick dipped in water (which works GREAT for the smaller rhinestones) but some of the bigger ones I use are too heavy for the water tension to hold up. Wonder if I could find this in an arts supply store…

    • hahaha thank you 🙂 I really miss seeing your manicures, I know your life is insane right now, but I hope you have time to put one up soon!

Yeah, they really make things so much easier. If you have an Asian stationary shop near you, you could try that. An arts supply store would probably carry something similar as well.

  2. Your manicure is so cute. I love rhinestones, they are a great way to spice up nails, and I love that that wheel contains so many pretty shades! What a bargain!
