A couple of beauty-related bits and bobs for the weekend. By the way, tomorrow marks the start of a new Sunday series on Makeup Morsels. If you love all things LOTR, swing by and geek out with me 🙂
Perhaps a little late reporting on NYFW, but I didn’t have time to gawk at all the gorgeous clothes until the weekend. Below are two updos, the first from DVF and the second from Derek Lam:
The DVF style is fairly straightforward: extreme side part, low bun, and some product to keep it in place. Thought I would include a quick tutorial for the Derek Lam hair, which was styled by Orlando Pita for Phyto.
1. Take a dollop of Phyto Professional Intense Volume Mousse and saturate the hair. Blow dry with T3 Featherweight Hair Dryer, then brush it out.
2. For those who have straighter hair, curl the hair with T3 Whirl for a natural wave.
3. Back comb and tease hair. Spray each piece with Phyto Professional Workable Holding Spray.Tease again. Spray.
4. Spray brush with Phyto Professional Workable Holding Spray and create a loose bee-hive, secure hair at the nape of the neck in low ponytail for evening. For day, the hair is pinned underneath by criss crossing pins.
