Midnight edition, as in ‘none of these beauty stuffs are midnight-related, but I’m writing this past midnight.’
It was a beautiful day filled with macarons & museums (and very good friends), one of the most relaxing I’ve had in awhile. And as that double shot espresso doesn’t seem to be kicking in, I’ll go ahead and share some Illamasqua news before I nod off.
First of all, a gorgeous new collection that launched less than a week ago in the UK (and available globally starting May 31), aptly named ‘Naked Strangers. It’s a well-edited array of nudes and metallics. I’ll give you a moment to gape at these promo images.
(As it turns out, I did nod off, which is why you’re reading this on Sunday instead of Saturday).
“We are complex and multifaceted whilst also being naked to the world.”
Alex Box, Illamasqua Creative Director
The collection includes Blushers, Nail Varnishes, and Gloss. Blush comes in Naked Rose (neutral beige brown, powder finish) and Zygomatic (‘naked’ pink brown, cream finish). The gorgeous polishes are available in Monogamous (matte, creamy ‘flesh pink), Faithful (coppered metal), and Swinger (glistening platinum gold). Finally, the two shades of gloss are Stranger (Intense finish, platinum gold) and Intimacy (sheer finish, nude pink brown).
I love the idea of a pigmented gold gloss, and have my eye on the polishes as well. And can we all take a moment to reflect on the promo images (again)? Makes me want to cover my head in gold leaf.
The brand has also launched 7 new shades of their Skin Base Foundation, which is now available in an impressive 26 shades. For a limited time, you can purchase a foundation and get a powder blusher, cream blusher, or bronzing duo half off (no code required). You can shop the range here.
And that’s all for today! Hope your weekend is wrapping up nicely.
